When would the time limit start?<br /><br />I own the 2nd lien on a property where the first mortgage filed the security deed improperly by leaving off a piece of property. I don't think there is a Statute of Limi...Hmm. I don't think there is a Statute of Limitations, per se. There is a $ penalty for failure to record, but that is between the the State of Georgia and the entity that fails to record. Since "title" or seizen never fails or goes away, the holder would still be the holder - just not of record.
